Cooking Hacks: Boxed Mac N Cheese
Who doesn't love a good ol’ fashion box of Kraft Mac n Cheese? Especially on those busy school nights when you have about 10 minutes to put together a dinner.
And while I love the traditional recipe, there are a couple of things you can do it make it taste a little more homemade. And to make it a little more cheesy (and of course tasty!). I promise these additions are super simple and won't take any extra time or energy.
First things first, I use Kraft macaroni and cheese thick’n creamy. Then make sure to use whole milk and real butter. That's a great start. Then I like to add 3/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and 3 oz of cream cheese. Melt it all together.
From there, you can serve as is. Or you can step it up even more.
Finally, I like to take any leftover meat we have. Brisket. Pulled pork. Steak. Seriously anything. Heat it up in a pan and add your favorite BBQ sauce. Then stir that into the Mac N Cheese and enjoy!
Between the creamy, cheesy Mac and the sweet and spicy BBQ, it's a match made in cooking hacks heaven.
This is our go-to easy dinner night. I usually add some vegetables and fruit on the side. And everyone is happy!
I hope your family enjoys this one as much as we do.
